You can use a 6" piece of say 1/2" iron water pipe as a punch and put it in a notch on the spanner and give firm taps with a hammer. once you loosen the ring nut 2 turns, with your hand pull up on 1 side of the spin basket, and tap down on the ring nut to jar loose the basket, then remove ring nut.
