Remove the pump and motor by removing the bolts securing the motor.

Disconnect the wiring harness.

Turn the motor upside down and remove the screw holding the pump to the motor.

You may have to pry the pump off the motor shaft as the do get seized on.

Place the belt around the motor pulley.

Put the pump back on the motor so the back leg of the pump has one side of the belt on each side of it.

Put the motor back in place and put the belt on the transmission pulley and tighten the motor on the mounts.

Here is a link to your washer model DLW330RAW.

Great instruction, Shela; I'm confident I can tackle the belt replacement. 2 questions though:

1) I don't know what caused the belt to burn. It is apparent that the basket did not turn and the belt burned up and broke as it caused a lot of smoke. What else should I check to make sure I'm not going to repeat history after installing a new belt? (P.S. don't know whether it matters or not, but the washer was dormant for about 2 months)

2) The 3 screws holding the pump assembly onto the motor housing: what type of heads are they?

Check your pump pulley and the transmission pulley to make sure they are turning freely.

After setting they may have got stuck.

I am not sure of the size of the bolt but if memory service be they are either 9/16 or 1/2 inch it as been a while.

I think you will find the 3 pump screw heads are "Torx" style. That's why your allen key wont fit them.
Just replaced the pump and belt on my 12 year old amana.

1 thing I noticed during the replacement is that you can push the tensioner arm all the way out and drop a spare allen or torx wrench thru the hole on the arm outside the motor mount. This takes off all the tension and makes belt fitment a breeze.
