Default How do I remove and replace the dial on my washer?
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 11022622100

Sears diagnosed my washer problem and said I needed to replace the dial, the peice directly behind the start button (which you push and pull in and out to start). However, i cant seem to figure out how to get the old one off. Any ideas?

Default

there are 2 types of sears timer control knobs.
early ones, you push in the knoband simply unscrew the knob like a nut from a bolt.
most of the new ones, after opening the control panel, push in on the knob, and on the back of the timer shaft, you'll see a small black plastic piece, pull it out with a paper clip, or anything pointed, then pull the knob off. nothing complicated about it . bettyboop
