Default How to change a timer?
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LAT7304AAE
Age: 5 - 10 years

My washer would run all the way through but would not rinse or spin out at the end. So I bought a new timer to see if that was the problem but can not figure out how to remove the knob. I read somewhere where it said to push the timer in and turn it counter-clock wise but it just continues to spin. Does anyone know how to get the timer knob off? Please help.

You have to pop the center of the knob out. Then you will see a clip. Be careful there is a spring behind the knob.

Here is a breakdown of your washer model LAT7304AAE.

To remove the timer knob simply remove the inner plate in the center of the knob (inside the rubber exterior of the knob) Then remove the clip and you are in bussiness. hope this helps!
