Unhappy Hotpoint washer is leaking
Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: 110.20992
Age: More than 10 years

I have a Hotpoint washer that had the pump replaced about 2 years ago. Lately I have been seeing water seeping out from under the machine after washing a load. It is not a large amount like when the motor failed but enough to have to mop the floor. My washer is in a tight space so I can't look under it without a major moving of dryer. I don;t know how to lift the top (if this is possible) to see if there is a leaking hose. The water hoses are new and drain hose is not leaking when washing - this much I do know. Any suggestions or ideas on how to lift the top so I can see if there is a leak without a major move?

Can you please verify your model number as there seems to be some characters missing?

Is this a Hotpoint or a Kenmore?

I was hoping the you would be able to take the front panel off to see where is is leaking.

But your washer the whole cabinet comes off.

You could have a leak almost any where that water is present.

A leak is something that has to be seen.

Unhappy Leaking washer

OH NUTS! I was so hoping I would not have to call a repair man but I have no idea how to go about repairing this myself.

By-the-way, it is still leaking water and I have not used it since Monday! Still cannot see anything dripping from water hoses or connections??? It is probably ready for the bone yard - was just hoping I could get it to last until we move into a new home.

Thanks for your replies - at least I know I can't fix it and can go from here.

Leann

Your tranny might be spinning when it is not supposed to and pushing water over the rim and out the overflow tube. If so new tranny time.
Try a small load. If no leak then that is your probllem.
