Default Hotpoint washer leak around tub seal
Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: vbsr2080w0ww
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a leak at bottom tub seal. I have replaced seal, however I still have leak. Is there any recommended silicone sealer or lubricant that I should put on tub seal. Water leak is where transmission shaft goes through seal in tub bottom.

Is the shaft of the transmission pitted?

Was the shaft clean when you put it back together?

You may have damage the seal when you installed it.

Here is a link to your washer model vbsr2080w0ww.
