Unhappy [HELP] No water filling into the washing machine
Brand: Other
Model Number: Simpsons Enviro 080
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hey guys,

I've purchased a reconditioned unit of washing machine and it's been almost one year since I bought it, unfortunately it's not working properly now. I've read hints and tips on repairing but I am only a student and got no experience on fixing it. Anyways, I'll try to briefly explain my problem.

First of all, I realised that when I set the timer, the water is not flowing into the machine. The tap is on but yet still no water. Funny, then I tried adjusting the timer a lil forward, it started moving, to slowly spin. Next, the timer stops at mid-cycle (*Rinse). I've got no idea why it stops there. I had to adjust the timer again and it starts spinning. Next, the funny thing is there's water flowing into the machine on the Rinse compartment. Why is this so?

I've tried manually pouring water into the middle compartment with the washing powder. I know this sounds lame but I don't know what to do about it, I don't know how much will it cost to ask a technician to drop by and take a look at it. I'm only a student and currently residing in Australia. I'm hoping to fix it myself if its POSSIBLE.

I really hope you guys could help me out with this issue. Thanks in advance!

Hey there,

THANKS for replyin!!! I really appreciate it!! Well, there is no water level switch but there is a temperature switch. All these while I don't use the temperature switch so it's always OFF.

How do I replace the fill valve? How much would it cost?

The exact model number is 45S080C

Unfortunately, I've just tried to change the temperature, and its not working. It worked ONCE before I posted this, as in there were hot water pouring in but not cold but now both isn't working at all.

There may be a problem with the water level switch or the temperature switch or the fill valve.

If there is a switch that you can change the water level turn it to a different setting and see if it will fill.

If there is a switch to change the water temperature set it to a different temperature to see if water will come in.

Can you please supply your model number.

If water came in once it is not the fill valve.

It sound more like the temperature switch or another control in the washer.

Because your washer is from Australia I can not look up parts or price.

You would have to contact someone locally to get parts and pricing.
