Help...I think it's the lid switch or motor?? Brand: Admiral Model Number: LNC6543A97 Age: More than 10 years I have taken the thing apart after making two assumptions: The lid switch was not the problem because I pressed down on the switch with a popsicle stick and machine did same thing. 2) it was agitating fine but not spinning/draining.
So I take it apart and the belt seems fine, the pulleys are okay, the agitator turns when I turn the belt so I guess its not a coupling or transmission. The pump is okay too. There are no clogs in the drain pipes.
I guess maybe the motor but now my wife tells me it might not have been agitating either, so now I am back to square one. We never smelled anything go bad on motor.
Should I put the whole thing back together and then see if it agitates? Then go through the analysis again.
Or, is there a way to check the lid switch electrical component itself? What do I need for this? I guess the tongue depressor was not enough.
Or have my buddy test the motor? I was going to cycle the machine with the lid down, but now not sure if the lid switch is the problem.
