Default Help with GE topload washer, model GW962KW118, it won't advance through cycles on own
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GW962KW118
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello

Just looking for some help with my washer, it wont advance through cycles on its own...everything else seems fine

From what i have read it sounds like the timer?? am i wrong already

Is there a way to test if the little motor that moves the timer is working?
Can you buy just the motor ?
I also read that you can spray some lubricant on the motor, if so what kind??

thanks
dan

If your timer is not advancing through the cycles it is likely the motor on the timer has fail.

The motor is not available as a separate part.

Can you please verify your model number.

It should be on a tag with the serial number.
