My Amana washer has started leaking water out of the bottom. We took off the front and saw that it's coming from the drum during the drain/rinse/spin cycle.
Is this a costly repair, or should we get a new washer instead. Is it a repair that a homeowner can do, or does it require a certified technician. The washer is over 10 years old, and otherwise works perfectly.

I also have an Amana that is leaking water. Does your tub shake rather violently during the cycles? Do you see water slosh over the top? I am going to try and replacing the six springs and the snubber isolater on the bottom. Total cost plus shipping from this place will be about $85
