Default HE2 Drum bearing noise?
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: HE2
Age: 1 - 4 years

My washer is getting more and more noisy on the spin cycle. It sounds like bearing noise to me. Any idea if this is a common problem with these (<2years use), how do I confirm this myself, and what part would I replace?

For I can not get your model number to work in our database.

It is possible that the bearings are going.

Is the noise more of a scrapping noise?

One thing that can cause a scrapping sound is the wire from a bra.

Sheila.

It is very loud. No bra would make a noise like this -I can hear it when I'm outside. I'm pretty sure that it is the bearing. Is there a part, with an easy remove and replace fix?

If so -Where do I get the part, where do I order it, and howmuch would it cost?

Although I can't locate your model number I have found one that contains the same tub.

Here is a link to the washer model MWFW8300SW01.

You will likely need number 8 and 27 on the tub and basket breakdown.

The washer will have to come completely apart to repair it.
