I have a mytag washer, model lat8426aae, it fills with water then motor starts humming and smells like burning, if i grab belt and help it start, it will agitate all the way thru cycle to off. It doesnt rinse, spin or drain. I have replaced motor and have same problem, I dont find a capacitor in circuit, I have checked continuity of timer for spin cycle, and it checks ok. Any help appreciated.

Take the pump belt of and see it the motor will start.

Check the pump pulley to see if it is turning freely.
