Red face H-e-l-p !!!
Brand: Kenmore

Sorry It Has Taken So Long To Get Back With You With My Last Results Concerning The Lid Switch. I Have Taken The Cabinet Off So Many Times It Is Not Funny Anymore! And It Still Doesn't Fit Right! Anyway, The First Problem Was Indeed The Lid Switch. The Bypass With The Paper Clip Didn't Work At First B/c The Paper Clip Had A Clear Sleaving On It And This Was Preventing The Contact As I Found Out. So I Removed It And The Washer Was Spinning And Draining Again. But N-o-w I'm Haviing Trouble With The Cold Water Flow! It Either Barely Drips, Or Sometimes Flows O.k., Or Spits And Spurts And Whatever. Its Worse On Rinse Cycle. And On Warm Or Hot Cycle It Flows But Gushes Inconsistently. Hoses Seem Fine And Water Inlet/vac Hose Seems O.k. And Didn't See Any Blockage In Screens At Hot/cold Connection! Also The Cabinet Is The Hardest Thing To Get Back On....any Tricks To It???
I Give All You Repairmen/women A Big Pat On The Back For Your Expertise In This Field Of Work. It Is Indeed A Very "trying" Job To Say The Least!

The cabinet is trickey sometimes. To start with, make sure the little tabs that stick upon all 4 corners of bottom frame(if bent, straighten with plyers)tip cabinet towards you, ease cabinet under front lip of frame, lower it down over tabs, pull control panel foward, as not to break water flume when you set it down. Lift back of cabinet an inch or two, with your foot hold back of cabinet in push back down install brass clip, do the same on other side, and you got it. Bettyboop

Red face Water Flow Problem?

Thanks Betty Boop For Your Quick Response. What About The Cold Water Flow Problem I Mentioned? I Didn't Take Out The Screens For Fear I'd Tear Them Up, But I Don't Think They Were Stopped-up. There Was Alot Of Crud Around Them Though, Was This Once A Rubber/plastic Washer Or Just Crud? How Do I Remove These W/o Tearing Them Up? And Would You Refer Back To My Last Thread About Water Flow Problem And Give Me Some Advice? Thanks So Much Again!!

It could be a bad cold water selinoid in the water valve. Try this test: on the water valves, switch the wires put the red on the cold and the plain on the hot. now try a fill up. set on cold(hot) and see if it fills ok, then switch to hot(cold) and if it sputters the valve needs replacing, got it?Bettyboop
