Unhappy Grinding sound since water pump was replaced
Brand: Amana
Model Number: LW8203W2
Age: More than 10 years

My boyfriend replaced the water pump on my Amana washer and when we started it, we now have a grinding sound when in use. He also replaced the belt and is sure it is on right. He had to cut the water pump off because it was really stuck to the shaft. He cleaned everything up and it is still making a grinding sound. Any help is appreciated!!! Thanks.

Where is the grinding sound coming from.

Remove the front panel and see if you can locate where the sound is coming from.

You may have a bad tub bearing.

Here is a link to your washer model lw8203w2.
