Default Getting top off
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 1101150090
Age: More than 10 years

im try to get the lid off the washer
it is an over under. got the snaps off the front-----took the panel off, which exposes
the back half of the top. there are 2 flat sprin type hinges which come from the back, and are reccessed in the top panel-----there is a bolt head just off the side of each spring------ do these have to be removed in order to remove springs.
if not how do you release tension on springs?

If I am understanding you, you have the control panel removed.

The spring clips that you are referring to are remove by placing a large flat blade screwdriver in the part that is closest to you and push the screwdriver to the back.

Disconnect the wiring harness to the lid switch.

The two bolt do not have to be removed.

The entire cabinet can now be removed.

I hope I have instructed you right as I could not locate your model number in our database.
