Unhappy Getting Frustrated!!!! Help
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: PAV910AWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

was doing a load of clothes machine filled fine but when it went to go to next ccycle I got a buzzing noise. Lifted the lid a couple times and it started right up until next cycle and did it again. I replace the lid switch thinking that was the problem but still does it. So this time I started the load when it started buzzing I barely pushed in on the timer knob (had to do it a couple of times) and it started up again but still have to do it at each cycle. I don't know what the problem is. I took the cover off and everything seems fine inside. However, I have no idea how to check the timer (can't get the thing off) to see if something is wrong there. I might add that if it buzzes too long you can smell a slight burning smell. Please help me this thing is just over 2 years old. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

Pull front panel and remove drive belt. Turn tranny pully, one way is agitate, other way is spin. If jammed in spin, you just may have something in the tub, pull top cover off tub and check.

well, now it looks like i may have to get a new motor. i didn;t catch it when it started buzzing and now it won't do anything. can you tell me if the little black thing ( i think it is the capacitor) on the motor comes with it? i can't see it in any of the diagrams i have pulled up.

I have the same problem but my washer will spin out fine. The motor has an overload or thermal protector. After it cools it will restart. At least my did. Try unplugging it for a few seconds & try again. I'm still not sure what the problem is and could use some help as well.
