Default GE washer won't agitate and makes grinding noise
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: s2200y0ww
Age: 5 - 10 years
yesterday our washer wouldn't drain, intead it made a loud humming noise. We took the front of and discovered a clip (piece of metal) blocking the motor fan. We removed it and the washer was able to drain. Now it drains fine but the after filling with water it dosen't agitate it just makes a grinding noise. We looked at some online sites and we removed the air bell coupling and it looks great inside no stripping. Any ideas?

I was reading that it may be the motor coupling?

our machine trys to agitate put only makes partial motion. wjsr2080v1ww
