Default GE washer will not spin
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WVSR1060A1WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Sometimes it will spin sometimes not. Seems to have same problem in any setting. When it does spin, it will get up to speed and then shut off. After motor shuts off I can still hear something running. I assume it is the pump. Tub drains ok. Took off the front cover and looked things over. Belt ok. Other components seem to be in good shape visually. Tub fills, drains and agitates ok, just does not want to spin on a consistent basis.

Default

Check the lid switch.

There may be a break in the wiring or the mounting bracket may be loose.

Here is a link to your washer model WVSR1060A1WW.

Thumbs up

I checked the wiring and switch assy. all looked good. Bypassed the lid switch and after several loads the machine has been operating normally.

Sheila, thank you for the help..
