Default Ge Washer problem
Brand: General Electric
Age: 1 - 4 years

My washer will fill with water but will not sping or drain the water. It justs makes a clicking noise while the dial is going through that cycle. The dial will then not stop at the end of the cycle like it normally does. Instead it keeps on going around and around and never shuts off going through every cycle over and over. I need to know what part has gone bad to cause that problem.

Thanks
Sheila

Check to make sure that the lid switch is working.

Do you hear the drain pump running?

There may be something blocking the drain port in the tub.

If the washer does not drain it will not spin.

Here is a link to your washer model s2100e1ww.
