Default GE washer-no power
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WKSE6280B2WW
Age: 1 - 4 years

I recently returned home from a trip to find that my washing machine was dead...no lights, no noises, no power whatsoever. I checked the outlet and its working normally. While I was away, there were some fairly severe storms in the area and the only thing I can reason is that I had a power surge at the house. What is the most likely part affected in this case--the Controls Assembly or would it be something else?

It is likely the control assembly.

Here is a link to your washer model WKSE6280B2WW.
