Question Ge Washer clicks when it attempts to spin
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: wjse4150g1ww
Age: 1 - 4 years
While the Mrs was doing laundry the Washing Machine started making loud clicks. Does this sound like a transmission issue? So far I have removed the Spin Basket and the Agitator. I have been trying to remove the 1-11/16 transmission hub nut. I just can't break it loose yet. Any suggestions would be great on the clicking sound and also how to break the nut lose.

I don't want to spend another night doing laundry in the laundromat with twin 4 year olds and an upset wife.

Please help me.

Most repair people simply break the hub nut. I've done it with a 4lb hammer and cold chisel. Have also used a grinder!

Probably transmisson, should be able to find one under a hundred dollars.
