Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WPSQ4160T2WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I am replacing a belt as well as clutch assembly. How do I adjust the correct tension?

In this type of machine I can't honestly tell you if their is a particular belt tension. I am sure their is but I will say this as a very good general rule of thumb. If the belt moves (when connected) more than a 1/4 of an inch it probably is too loose. However it is very important that you don't make it tight and that it DOES have at least 1/4 inch of play.

There are four bolt that hold the motor to the mounting bracket.

The mounting bracket has adjustment groves that the motor can move back and forth in.

Loosen the bolts and adjust the motor as required.
