Question Ge Trans. Knocking
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WBSR1060TBWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

My wife asked me to look at the washer because it sounded diffrent and strange smell. I could hear a distinct knock during agatation. Remved the front and could see oil or grease driping and smelled like gear oil in a car. ran the machine while looking under tub and noticed transmission house spins while running. IS THIS NORMAL? Also why would it be leaking oil. While the tub was still full of water i stopped the machine and noticed drops water dripping from the transmission. is ther a seal? or do i need a transmission. Thanks
