Default Front panel
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: lat9604aae
Age: More than 10 years

I purchased new front panel retaining clips and I can't figure out how to get them on. I think I am close, but the clips pop off everytime I start to put the screws in the bottom of the panel.

You may have the clip in back wards or the panel is not in place right.

Here is the clip. The long end should be toward the front.

Which end do I put in first? On the frame or on the panel? How do you hold the clips in place until the panel is on?

Okay, after messing with the panel, now the washer tub won't spin. It will fill with water. We have tried to just do a rinse cycle and the tub won't do anything.

I think I got it right. I put the clip on the top of the door the same way it shows in the above picture. It doesn't fit tight against the lid, but it stays in place.
