Unhappy Front Load washer won't drain
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: GLTF1670A SO
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hi!

My 2 year old Fridgidaire Gallery Series front load washer will not drain. I checked the drain hose, and it is not clogged. The door is locked, and I tried all different settings to drain. Nothing works. It agitates fine, goes through every cycle fine, except when it is time to drain, will not drain, and will not spin. When it is in the final spin, the light for final spin goes on, but the washer does not spin, nor does it drain. Water will not enter during rinse cycle either. What is your suggestion?

Can you hear the pump trying to run?

If the drain pump is running there could be something stuck in the coin trap.

Here is a link to your washer model GLTF1670A SO.

Smile Washer wouldn't drain

Hi again!

Thanks for responding! Just wanted to let you know that we took the pump off, and checked the trap for spare items, and came up with a quarter size necklace charm. Apparently, this had wedged itself at one time in the pump also, so that the fan was stuck. After relieving the washer of this item, we had to manually turn the pump blades with a screwdriver to get it to work. Now, it works like a charm! Thank you for your help!
