Default Front load washer
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 417-42042100
Age: 5 - 10 years

Good Morning Folks-need some help!! Inner brg unit crapped out on my front load "KENMORE" washer, so I'm repairing myself. Everything is disconnected but do not know how door gasket comes off. Do I take off from tub or by door, and if so then how? Thanks Much

You should remove the gasket from the tub.

There is a lip on the seal and a spring clamp hold the seal to the tub.

Here is a link to the parts of your washer model 417-42042100.
