Default Frigidaire will not complete final spin and drain water
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FWT445GES0
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Frigidaire front load washer that will agitate and tumble the clothes in both directions. It also drains during the rinse and wash cycle but when it comes to the final spin cycle it does not spin or drain the water. Any suggestions on a possible fix are appreciated

Check the door switch.

If the door is not looking the washer will not spin.

Here is a link to your washer model FWT445GES0.

I'm having the same problem. I changed the belt because it was to easy to take off so I knew the belt was bad but I think now it may be a warped pulley because the belt is slipping and rubbing against the tub. I have tried several times to realign the belt but it keeps slipping. Also, on the pulley there is grim which indicates a bad bearing I think.

There is a motor control model on the bottom of the product in the back left hand corner. Frigidaire has had problems with that part. Take the front bottom of the product, and you will see it. That is most likely your problem. Does it give you a code?. You can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

I'm not sure this is the problem because when there are no clothes in the washer the machine will spin fast but you can hear the belt rubbing. I check the back and the belt has slipped against the back of the tub. I think it can't go into the full spin cycle because the belt rubbing is too much on the motor. I have read that the metal on these pulleys is a soft metal and easy to break but don't want to spend the money on something not necessary that won't fix the problem.

Jhsoto, at this point, all I could do is suggest a few things. It could be a tub bearing, or a pully problem. Without being there on this one, I don't think I could be much help. I believe you will need to call a service tech, who is an authorized frigidaire repairman, because if it is the drum bearing, There might be a 5 year warranty on parts. Check you book on the product and see. Tom

I pretty sure now the pulley and bearing need replacing. There is grease splatter all over the back and the washer will spin with only a few clothes. If I put a normal load in the tub it is to heavy for it to spin. Thank you for your suggestions and time.
