Red face Frigidaire Hum
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: WA6620RW*2
Age: 5 - 10 years

Am a virgin here so be gentle please. I have a Frigidaire Horzion 2000 washing machine and not sure of the age model wa6620rw*2. Here is the problem as it stands now. I set the controls to fill and it begins that and when full to the set amount the water turns off and then a pause then a loud hum and an odd electeical odor and then nothing no agitate and when set to rinse it will not empty the tub H E L P please. It is showing signs of age and am wondering if it is time to replace it? Would like a a little more life out of it if possible though. Thank all of you for your time and help in advance. Jim.

Remove the front panel of the washer using a putty knife to release the two clips that are between the top and the panel.

Check to see if there is something in the pump stopping it from turning.

Here is a link to your washer model WA6620RW2.
