Cool Fixing myself, need help with pulley drive rubbing
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: mah5500bww
Age: 1 - 4 years

i love my machine but; she is trying my patients. i have replaced the struts and that fixed my original problem of her not finishing her cycle. now i managed one load of laundry but; can not do any more. the black pulley drive is rubbing against the white plastic of the wash tub. i have tryed adjusting the tension for the belt which is moving on the pulley and also burning into the plastic tub. i just do not know how i can get the black pulley away from the plastic back of the tub and stop the rubbing. it is burning a hole with the pulley and belt rubbing at 850 rpm into the wash tub plastic. i can find no solution in the manual. any ideas out there? am i missing a spacer or something that can lift that black pulley wheel away from the plastic tub ?? help, i am going crazy trying to fix my machine. thanks.

Is the pulley only hitting in one spot or is it rubbing all the way around?
