Default During wash, gets stuck between cycles
Brand: Roper
Model Number: RAS8333RQ4
Age: More than 10 years

Whirlpool/Roper, I am guessing the timer is going. Here is what is happening. Normal wash mode set at 14 mins and it will get to about 10 mins and stop for some reason. It will be full of water and turning timer has no effect. But you can drop the washer lid and sometimes it will start again and go through load. Today though it was almost a no go and had to keep messing with it and finally it started again. I am guessing it is under 2 years old and out of warranty. So what do you think, before I buy the wrong part?

I looked for a door switch on the Roper washer and there wasn't one, might have been something they put on the Whirlpool model and not the Roper one? Just guessing.
So would that just leave it to being the timer that causes this. Noticed that it always seems to hang up and quit when it gets to the 10 min wash time on the timer after starting at the 14 min area, what do you think about that?

If your lid switch makes a solid click noise everytime the lid is closed, the lid switch is probably ok. If so you have a bad timer.
