Unhappy Drip, drip drip
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: A512
Age: More than 10 years

When my machine is turned off, with the water valves shut off, I hear a slow drip about every ten -15 seconds into the tub. What do I need to do. Thankyou.

By water valves do you mean your taps because it sounds like one of you machine's water valves is not closing correctly.

If this is the case you will have to replace the valve assembly

Here is a link to your machine

Yes 2-5613 is the correct part

The part items on the diagram do not match the parts list
The part you want is Item 16, Part Number PS60378
Click on this part number and you will see a zoomed view
Scroll down and there are comments from people who have installed it

This is a universal valve assembly so it fits many different washers

Replace the water valve. Also shut the water off to the washer, that is the hot and cold valves behind it. If you don't you might come home to an Indoor Pool. Tom T. PAONE's APPLIANCE SALES & SERVICE GUIDE
