Unhappy Cycle Control Knob Stops Between Wash Cycle
Brand: Inglis
Model Number: Superb
Age: More than 10 years

My Inglis Superb washer seems to work just fine except for the fact that upon setting a wash cycle, the dial seems to stop at least five times throughout the cycle. In order to get it to continue we used to just open the lid and close it or just bang it on top.

Now it's progressively gotten worse and now a tap no longer does it. We need to physically move the dial along to the next increment in order to proceed.

It's quite frustrating to run up and down the stairs at LEAST 5 times to complete just one cycle.

I don't want to replace the entire machine. Is there such a thing in replacing the Cycle Control Knob only or is it a lot more complicated than that?

Please help.
