Default Counterweight broken - easy to fix?
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FWT449GFS1
Age: 5 - 10 years

Frigidaire Gallery FWT449GFS1 front loader

Our front-loader washer started vibrating very loudly, even banging at times. When we put in half loads, there's no problem. A repair guy came out and showed us that the counterweights were broken. He's asking $220 to fix and replace the parts. Not unreasonable, but I found the counterweight part online for about $40:

Would this be relatively easy to replace myself? Through the lower front panel I can see that two of the counterweights are broken, and the pieces come out. Looks like this kit replaces separate coutnterweights with a single one.
