Default Constant Spinning
Brand: Gibson
Model Number: GWX233RBS3
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello! During the wash cycle the basket constantly spins while agitating. The water starts to cyclone and leak. It goes through every cylce as it should. But just keeps wrapping my clothes around the agitator. If I hold the basket to keep it from spinning everything washes fine. When I first noticed it I heard a ping like something metal snapped during the spin cycle before rinse and it has been a mess since.
Any help would be appreciated.

Remove the front panel by taking the two screws at the bottom of the panel out.

See if you can see what broke.

If it was an external part you will likely see it laying on the base.

Here is a link to your washer model GWX233RBS3.
