Unhappy Constant problem with all my washers
Brand: Maytag
Age: Less than 1 year

Always less then a year old.. The cycles never complete on thier own, I have had many service people to my house to run the gammet of problems and once they leave, the problem is never fixed. The cycles never complete I have to manually change them from cycle to cycle or they will stay in that cycle for hours if I don't. Once in awhile it will actually change on its own but its rare. This isn't the first time a washer of mine has had this problem. It's been belt replacements and other time gear stuff replaced, but in the end the problem is still there. Anyone else have this issue or no how to stop it from happening. At this point Lowes has sent me a gift card for like $365.00 becuase it's no longer worth sending out service people since they've spent probably more then what the washer's worth now..

Check your outlet voltage. Might be much higher than 115 V.

I was recently told that the timer device is most likely the problem does anyone know how to go about fixing this, I really don't mind doing the repair myself.
I don't think buying a new machine is enviromentally the best choice. I already have 2 washers in the basement and 2 dryers,(and already have thrown away a set about 2 years ago), one of each works the other 2 sit there needing to be thrown out, but it such a clutter for our environment I hate to do it. I definetly don't want 3 washers 2 that don't work down there.
So, if any one wants to point me in the right direction on timer device repair I would be much appreciated. It can't be that difficult to do.
