Default Commercial Maytag Washer Parts Needed
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LA23CS
Age: More than 10 years

I have a commercial customer with 2 of these coin opp top loaders. The lid uses the ball "hinges". The lid on one is rusted out and I can't seem to find any info on this machine here or elsewhere and yet I see ANTIQUES with info here. The lid is approx 15.5 x 15.5 inches, ivory. Should I just weld it? (ugly) The rusted area is at the rear center where it pushes the run switch and of course the ball hinges are missing. I swear I have seen lots of these washers in the field. The customer would like a new lid. The 2 dryers of the same vintage were no problem getting info and parts here. (partsselect.com)
Thanks

I think the model number may be off a little.

Here is a model for a washer with the ball hinges and an almond top.

The model is La390

Thanks Sheila,
Both machines have this exact model number (LA23SC ser 01 ser#611924LT ). I don't feel comfortable ordering the lid you recommend without at least some dimensions. Are all the balls the same size at least? There seem to be many lid sizes that use the balls. Also there is a flat spot at the rear of the lid that pushes the center mounted switch button.

If you order the lid and it does not fit you can return it. Yes all the balls are the same size.
