Default Click clack! click Clack! washing machine
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: wnse6280b1ww
Age: 5 - 10 years

My washer works great during the 1st part of the cycle when the the agitator is moving fast. The clicking sound begins half way through when the agitator is moving much slower during the gentle agitation. Then during the spin cycle the clack sound is very loud and the clothes are still soaked at the end. I think it's the clutch but not sure, just guessing. I could probably fix the problem with good direction .......HELP! Thanks in advance for any advice given.

Remove the front panel of the washer by using a putty knife to release the two clips between the top and front panel.

Run the washer and see if the noise is coming from the clutch on the bottom of the motor.

Here is a link to your washer model wnse6280b1ww.

If it's not the clutch what else could it possibly be?
