Unhappy Can't slide drum vein
Brand: Gibson
Model Number: GWT445RFS1
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello, I was wondering if someone could please explain to me what the trick is on sliding the drum vein after you've taken the screw off. I've looked at the repair parts, and someone said you are supposed to slide it to the front and lift, very easy. Right. Well, I've tried doing it, and all I get is a very slight movement from front to back, but no matter how hard I slide it, it won't budge, is there a trick to it? I tried, push/slide, lift/slide, front and back, and I can't get it off!! it's driving me nuts. The part broke, and the clothes gets stuck and breaks, I need help please!!

Take a small shaft flat blade screwdriver and insert it into the hole in the top of the vane behind the space that devides the two groups of holes.

If you don't have a screwdriver with a small shaft use a coat hanger.

Push down and slide the vane toward the door opening to release.

Here is a link to your washer model GWT445RFS1.

Here is the tub so you can see the place where you have to push to release the vane.
