Default Can you repair a pump
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LBR4121JQ1
Age: 1 - 4 years

o.k., here's the deal a pair of curtains with tassells fell apart while washing....

thus there were 10 million pieces of thread left in standing water after the cycle was finished

I bailed the water out.... took the cover over....

disconnected the drainage hoses.....

I found 2 nails one button and pulled out knotted up pieces of string out of the intake valve going into the pump........

after putting the pieces together... the freaking washer still will not empty....

so my question is ,, can I take apart this pump and attempt to see if any string is embbed in it....... or am I stuck paying 36 bucks for a new pump....

by the way it took me over 6 hours and lots of cursing to do the above....

oh no, I was afraid of that... it looks like one big plastic piece... I can see some rubbery black thing with teeth inside of it..........

I guess I;ll take it to a repair place down the road and see if I can get a new... It's always something !!! ugh !!!
