Default Burnt Wire off motor plug
Model Number: LSC9355AWO
Age: More than 10 years

I remember now smelling something burning before my washer quit working.

Last night I found the orange wire right before the plug that plugs into the motor was burnt off. So I peeled back the plastic from the wire and tried to make a connection in there, and still got only a hum. I also noticed some of the wires seemed to be getting hot.

What would cause that? and what do I do now?

Karen

You need to use a meter and verify motor resistance and proper voltages to motor.
Sometimes you can solder back the bad wire, but if no room you will need to replace the harness wires.
