Model Number: alw480daw
Age: 1 - 4 years

hi i have a washer machine last week I smell rubber I open front cover an belt drive was burn replaced once run for like a week an happen again seem like belt was loose butt is no adjustment ,spring is OK is only on spin cycle machine when this is happening

Check and make sure that the pump is turning freely.

it maybe the tension pulley, it is made of plastic with a metal sleeve that spins on a metal shaft. if the 2 metals are rusted it may cause the belt to burn. or if the tension pulley spring is not put enough tension on the belt. re hook it out on something else.
