[problem1]

My maytag washer suddenly stopped spinning and a heavy burn rubber smell came out of it... it agitates and it drains but no spin, tried to spin it by hand ( to check it wasn't stuck) but no luck, still no spin and smell. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance.

It may be the break is stuck.

Drain the washer and tip it back and turn the pulley counter clock and see if the tub will turn.

It may be that the belt is just stretched and can not turn the pulley.
