Default Broken agitator vane, unbalanced loads
Brand: Admiral
Model Number: LNC6762A71 Rev 10
Age: 1 - 4 years

We have an Admiral "Capacity Plus" washer, Model LNC6762A71 Rev 10,
which develops an unbalanced load much more frequently than it should. It seems to be level, as far as I can tell with my carpenter's level laid front-to-back and side-to-side, and the agitator doesn't wobble very much ( I can't move it by hand, and there is only a very small wobble when it spins.)

The only problem I see is that the bottom of one of the agitator vanes is broken and missing. (Maybe viewing these photos will help:

Do you think this broken vane could somehow lead to more unbalanced loads? Would replacing the agitator produce fewer unbalanced loads?

Thanks,

Doug Miller

The broken vane will not cause the washer to go off balance but may damage your clothes.

It is likely the base is weak or there may be dirt on the snubber.

Remove the front panel and check the snubber.

Here is a link to your washer model LNC6762A71.
