Default Blowing fuse
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: a9700
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello
My washing machine keeps blowing fuses. It happens if we open the cover to add more clothes or soap. When we close the cover I can hear the fuse blow. I am wondering if i am using the correct fuse
(1A 250V). Any body have any idea? What should I look at if this is the correct fuse?

any help would be appreciated

thanks

Michael

That is the correct fuse.

The problem is that one of the switches in the lid switch assemble is stuck.

This is causing a short circuit and causing the fuse to blow.

Here is a link to your washer model a9700.
