Exclamation Basket wont spin, still agitates and drains...
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LA5430XSWO
Age: More than 10 years

Within the past two weeks I would unload my clothes after they had completed an entire cycle and noticed they were still completely soaking. This only happened sporadically and was remedied by me resetting the dial to the spin cylce and having it cycle through. Having it happen again last night I reset it to the spin portion of the cycle but this time it didnt work. Ive tried all the different cycles (light, permanent) to the same end. The washer fills, agitates, and drains perfectly, it just wont spin. Leaving the lid open and pressing the switch with a pen makes no difference. It even makes all the appropiate sounds and there are no unusual smells. If there is anyone that has any ideas as to what may be the problem, and or how to fix it, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you in advance for your time and help...
