Basket not spinning though basket drive is working

in the Washer Repair forum.

the small one seals the agitator shaft, the larger one seals the spin tube they are above the hi-water line and should not cause a problem

Just remove the broken basket drive block, don't wory about the seal,I've replaced many drive blocks like yours with no problems

Just replace the drive block!!! none of the replies haven't goten thru, rubber seal is not an issue

Forget the burnt rubber! just replace the defective drive block

If the rubber you found under the washer looks like a sooth or powder, it is coming from the drive coupling. It's a normal wear and tear.

thank you so much for the help! I have fixed my washer!!!! The problem was, as you so kindly pointed out, that the drive block had broken. After ordering a new part from this site, I was able to easily install it and now my clothes are clean!
