Default Another washer won't stop filling post
Brand: Roper
Model Number: RTW4340SQ
Age: 5 - 10 years

i think this is the right model number. it sure looks like it and i can't easily get back there to tell. if it becomes necessary i'll double check. we recently moved into a new construction and had some difficulty with sediment in our well water. it mainly caused the screens on the inlet hoses to clog. we've since placed a filter on our water line and it's been working fine. today we changed the filter to the house and when we started to run the washer again, it wouldn't stop filling up with water. i even unplugged the washer and it kept running. i did everything in the troubleshooting manual and it still fills. it keeps filling during each cycle and even when it's completely done. i've manually shut off the water to the washer. it seems to only be the cold water that won't stop running. can anyone offer a little insight or help. it would be greatly appreciated.

You have grit in the cold half of the fill valve. replace water inlet valve.I would flush your hoses to remove as much grit as you can.Bettyboop
