Default Always Drains But Randomly Won't Spin
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 11016922503
Age: 1 - 4 years

Intermittently during the spin cycle, the machine won't spin. It always drains and when it is exhibiting the non-spinning problem it seems as though the pump runs during the entire spin cycle until the cycle completes. When it exhibits the problem, if I lift the lid and close it again, the pump stops running and the machine begins spinning. Does this sound like a timer issue?

It could be the lid switch or the timer.

Check to make sure that the screws holding the lid switch in place are tight.

Try wiggling the timer knob instead of lifting the lid and see what happens.
