Default Agitator works but it won't spin sometimes
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.22932100
Age: 5 - 10 years

Every now and then clothes are very wet. Usually when you open lid during the spin you can watch the drum slow down to a stop, but when I open it the drum is not spinning at all. The pump is draining the tub, but no spin. I tried changing to slow spin setting but no luck.

It spins most of the time, I have had this "trouble" twice in the last 2 months.

Is something on its' way out and will eventually totally fail?

Both time I wiggled the drum side to side and then restarted and the spinning works again.

Is there an imbalance switch that would prevent spin, I can't find one on the elec schematic.

I have not taken apart yet, would appreciate some ideas before I take it apart.

Thanks
Pete

This could be your lid switch or your timer.

This model does not have a balance switch.

Here is a link for a parts list for your washer model 110.22932100.

Check your drive coupling between the motor and transmission. Sometimes it is broken, but has enough left to work part time.
