Default Agitator drive bell seal replacement
Brand: Amana
Model Number: LWA60AW
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a leaking "agitator drive bell seal". I was able to remove the agitator, SS inner wash tub, and the self-clean lint filter. Please explain how to remove the flanged hub onto which the inner tub is bolted with (4) 5/16-18 threaded hex bolts. Is it pulled off or removed using a spanner? Also, after removing the hub in question, what am I facing in order to remove the leaking seal and installing the new one? Thanks much for any advice offered. IMLeaking

To remove the hub you pull up once the bolts are removed.

If you order the complete hub and seal kit it does come with an instruction sheet.

Here is the part number for the kit PS205734.

Dear IMLeaking,

I have the same problem with leakage, and I stuck also with removal of hex nut or entire hub to get to the bottom seal.
How did you solve this problem? I cannot believe that the hub could be pulled out without undoing the nut. But I maybe wrong. These freaking designers are nuts.
Thanks much in advance, George.
